Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, had knocked on the doors of the Delhi High Court in order to fight back against alleged infringements against his fundamental rights emanating from the current overwhelming menace of AI-generated content. Though Kalyan claims that his honor is being dented by the usage of his photos, name, and AI videos without authorization, for the purpose of this falsified content.

Pawan Kalyan avers that the AI videos featuring him are being exploited everywhere inappropriately for marketing and misrepresentation, notably inasmuch as on Google, Meta, X, etc. Also accompanying this, the legal team raised concerns that these very AI-generated video advertisements, unlike the ones of Ajay Devgn case pertaining to an order passed by this Honorable High Court in April 2022, still remain available for unknown reasons.

Following the order of the Delhi High Court, it has been instructed to the social media and online platforms to take immediate steps to block any infringement on the personal rights of Pawan Kalyan. The court, furthermore, ordered these companies to forthwith submit the URLs of incriminating content to the mediators for deletion, the duration of which is one week. The next date of hearing upon the matter has now been fixed.

This is an important step toward reining in the misuse of AI technologies and protecting public personalities from unauthorized digital exploit.
